General Info

Welcome to Singapore S.E.A. Aquarium, the world’s largest sea aquarium. The S.E.A. Aquarium belongs to the Marine Life Park, which is spread over 8 hectares. It houses whopping 800 species of 100,000 sea creatures in 45,000,000 l. water. There are 10 zones in the aquarium with 49 habitats, including the Bay of Bengal, the Strait of Karimata & Java Sea, the Shark Seas, and Laccadive Sea. All these habitats in the world are represented here. Some of the popular species kept in the Singapore Underwater World are scalloped hammerhead shark, bottlenose dolphin, Japanese spider crab, goliath grouper, along with chambered nautilus and guitarfish, which are some rare species.

The awe-inspiring viewing panel is the star attraction of the aquarium, which is located just outside its great range of marine animals. Singapore Sea Aquarium is officially the largest aquarium in the world, standing 8.3m (27 ft.) tall and 36m (118 ft.) wide. Here, you will feel like standing on ocean floor. Some other common features are the largest range of manta rays in the world (including the oceanic manta ray, only giant ray in captivity) as well as fine samples of jellyfishes.

The Singapore Sea Aquarium is located on Singapore Sentosa Island, i.e. around 10 minutes from Central Business District in Singapore. You can easily get there via Circle Line or North East Line train to Harbor Front station and then take Sentosa Express to Waterfront. You can also take bus to Vivo City and RWS8 bus. Cable car is also available from Imbiah station for Sentosa Express. The aquarium remains open all day long from 10am to 7pm. The schedule may change anytime. So, be sure to call and confirm before visiting. The entry ticket costs $38 for adults and $28 for children from 4 to 12 years.
