Located around 90km from Singapore, Gunung Pulai offers a complete trail to Jungle Mountain, which is suited for cycling and walking. The whole track is around 10 km long – 5 km down the hill and 5 km up. Mount Pulai stands proudly over 700m off the sea level. In Peninsular Malaysia, it is the closest mountain which can be visited from Singapore. At the end of 5km long one-way hike, there is a military base. So, you may see military officials on bikes at least once or twice along the track.

Mount Pulai is a 650m high mountain located around 45km towards the north of Johor Bahru. Along with being a paradise for flora and fauna, the road and waterfall to the peak are major centers of attraction for the locals and foreigners who can get good workout or take quick dip.

There is a track goes up by tarred path which is around 4.8 km long stretch and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours from 70m to 650m high off the sea level to reach the summit of telecommunication tower. There is also a difficult but scenic route that cuts across the hilly stream towards the waterfall. After hiking the summit, you may head to take a dip in the waterfall.

En-route, you may come across several wild animals like lizards, monkeys and wild birds. The best thing is that monkeys are not that cheeky here.

Mount Pulai is the spectacular waterfall here, which is around 50m high and has a lot of tiers. There is a dam which serves as a viewpoint across the summit and it may also supply water to Singapore. It can be seen in the top right from afar, and there are also nearby housing areas. Be sure to expect good hard work and dip in the waterfall to have fun.
